Argylle | Action Prop Buyer
Matthew Vaughns Argylle was the first Major Motion Picture I Have been apart of. With this came alot of responsibility, Money and Opinions. Managing a 200k Action prop budget and an Ast Action prop buyer we set out to bring all of Matthews Visions to the BIG screen.
Working very closely with Prop master (Phil Smith) and lead Model Maker (Mark Yeo) we spent a good part of year meticulously sourcing, designing and making hundreds of Action Props.
Being an action movie all our props had to also be both Functional and aesthetic. With a full time splinter team we also had the fun of juggling hero props between teams ensuring everything was where it needed to be at all times.
From Cat Bags needing to be wrapped by car vinyl experts to Masks imported from china and adapted by leather makers. To importing a Sothebys mid century cocktail set or buying a 5k bottle of Lafite and personally hand making repeats. No request was to big or small. Argylle has made me a much more adaptable and resilient Buyer while also increasing my knowledge of props and makers.
