Count Magnus | Production Buyer
Count Magnus was Written and directed by Mark Gatiss for the yearly BBC Christmas ghost story. Working with Designer (Byron Broadbent) and Set Decorator (Polly Davenport) I helped bring Gatiss’s Vision to life.
While facing the challenges that come with working on a smaller project I was charged with Sourcing all the props within a one week period keeping in line with both Gatiss’ and Byrons vision.
We then spent two days dressing several heavily detailed sets. I was tasked with of course keeping the budget but also assisting Polly in anyway necessary. This meant not only Dressing sets but also keeping on top of action props and any extra Director requests.
Below you can see a selection of stills depicting our three major sets. Our Library, Dinning Room and Pub. All whilst keeping within the correct time period of 1860. Each set really brings Gatiss’s vision to life.
